Barbara Ensrud, BA is a journalist and author with a long and keen interest in metaphysical subjects, particularly aspects of extra-sensory perception and its relation to human consciousness. Her journalistic career has also focused on the subject of wine and its role in culture and civilization. Her articles have appeared in The Wall St Journal, Vogue, GQ, Garden and Gun, Decanter, Oxford American and numerous other publications. She is the author of American Vineyards (Stewart Tabori & Chang), Wine with Food (Simon and Schuster), and The Pocket Guide to Wine, Revised Edition (Putnam). She is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors. Since 2004, she has been a member of the Rhine Research Center in Durham, elected to the Board of Directors in 2013 and in 2016 elected President of the Board.
