Dr Leonardo Martins is a Brazilian psychologist, PhD and Master in social psychology; postdoctoral researcher in the Institute of Psychology at University of São Paulo, having completed a research internship at Coventry University in England; and researcher and member of the following laboratories, nuclei and academic groups: Inter Psi - Laboratory of Anomalistic Psychology and Psychosocial Processes (USP), LabPSiRel - Social Psychology of Religion Laboratory (USP), COG-R - Group of Studies on Cognitive Science of Religion (Inter Psi-USP), GeHip - Group of Studies on Hypnosis and Altered States of Consciousness (Inter Psi-USP), GEPPSIREL - Research Group on Psychology of Religion (Inter Psi-USP) and Nucleus of Study of New Religions and New Spiritualities (PUC-SP). Coordinator of IlusoriaMente - Group of Interdisciplinary Studies of Perception and Magical Art (Inter Psi-USP). Martins’s research covers mental health, social psychology, anomalistic psychology, psychology of magic and psychology of religion.
