Courtney M Block

Courtney M. Block is an American academic librarian, author, and paranormal bibliographer. She received her M.L.S. from the University of Indiana at Bloomington in 2010 and has published three books on the topics of information literacy, paranormal research, and library hauntings. They are: Researching the Paranormal: How to Find Reliable Information about Parapsychology, Ghosts, Astrology, Cryptozoology, Near-Death Experiences, and More ( Rowman & Littlefield, 2020), Encyclopedia of Parapsychology (Rowman & Littlefield, 2022), and Inside the World\’s Haunted Libraries (Bloomsbury, 2026). Her research and writing have led her to visit parapsychology archive collections at Duke University, the University of West Georgia, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Of particular research interest to Courtney is the life of librarian and parapsychological researcher Rhea A. White.
