Dr Nancy L Zingrone

Nancy L Zingrone received her Masters in Higher Education in 1977 at Northern Illinois University, a doctoral candidacy in history at Duke University in 1993, and a PhD in psychology at the University of Edinburgh in 2004. She is a Research Fellow at the Parapsychology Foundation, was the Director of Publications and an editor of the International Journal of Parapsychology from 2000-2008; became a member of the Parapsychological Association in 1981, served on the board and as the editor of the PA newsletter from 1991 through 1999, completed two terms as President in the early 2000s, and was awarded an Outstanding Contribution Award in 2015. Among the other posts were a Research Fellow and Visiting Scholar at the Rhine Research Center (then the Institute of Parapsychology) from 1981-1993; an assistant research professor in the Division of Perceptual Studies at the University of Virginia from 2003 to 2010; as a Professor in Psychology at Northcentral University/National University from 2013 to 2026; and since 2025 an adjunct faculty in the parapsychology program at the California Institute for Human Science. She has published over 60 papers in parapsychology, psychiatry, psychical research, and psychology journals. Her interests ranged from experimental parapsychology to discourse and criticisms in parapsychology and now focuses on the history of psychical research and parapsychology.
