Dr Guy Hayward read music as an undergraduate at Trinity College, Cambridge. He stayed there to complete his MPhil in musicology, and then a PhD on the psychology/anthropology of communal singing traditions around the world. During his PhD, Guy was introduced to psychical research via Rupert Sheldrake’s work on morphic fields, which provided him a new perspective on group singing. Guy now works as an experimental and research assistant for Rupert Sheldrake. He is currently studying classical singing at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance, and sings with his satirical jazz duo Bounder & Cad. He is also the co-founder of websites promoting Choral Evensong and British Pilgrimage.
