Etzel Cardeña, the Thorsen Professor of Psychology at Lund University, Sweden, obtained his Ph. D. at UC Davis, and was a postdoctoral fellow and visiting scholar at Stanford University. Elected fellow of APA and APS, his research, theoretical and pedagogical contributions have received multiple awards. He has more than 300 professional publications, some in top journals in psychology and psychiatry, dealing with alterations of consciousness and anomalous experiences (including ostensible psi), the neurophysiology of hypnosis, and dissociation and trauma.
