KM Wehrstein, BAA (Journalism) is an independent reincarnation researcher, freelance writer and novelist, and one of the Psi Encyclopedia’s most prolific writers, also working as an editor. Her interest in reincarnation dates back to personal experiences both in adulthood and childhood, and began learning in depth about the work of Dr Ian Stevenson and other academic reincarnation researchers in 2015 and began formally investigating cases in 2016, specializing in adult subjects. To date she has published two papers, a review and a commentary in the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research and Zeitschrift für Anomalistik. In 2022 she founded the International Centre for Reincarnation Research (ICRR) and under its aegis currently works as project manager of a group developing a database of published reincarnation cases, funded by the BIAL Foundation. Parapsychologist Charles Tart said of Wehrstein: “I think of her as a ‘field explorer,’ as it were, lots of inside perspective on the subject, but also as a leading thinker who really knows this area.”
